The head of the investment group that part-owns Neymar has revealed “a lot will have to change” to stop the forward joining Barcelona.
And Delcir Sonda, who heads DIS, the group that owns a 40 percent share in the Santos player, confirmed that a deal with the Spanish club is imminent.
“The plot is to go to Barcelona because the club is keeping him locked there,” said Sonda.
“There would have to be a huge change and for Barcelona to hardly try at all for him to play anywhere else.”
Sonda also said that Barcelona would have to negotiate with DIS to conclude any deal for the 21-year-ancient.
“Barcelona talking only to Santos and not us?” he added. “They have to realise that we are in the frame with 40 percent, and I have said this to Sandro Rosell (Barcelona president) twice.”
If Neymar does sign for the club he will be joining a wealth of attacking talent including Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and David Villa.
The club hold an unassailable 10-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid and have three league games remaining this season.
